A more reliable water supply for residents and businesses on the Old Dublin Road in Enniscorthy as works get underway
Uisce Éireann, working in partnership with Wexford County Council, is carrying out mains rehabilitation works on the Old Dublin Road in Enniscorthy, starting from today. The works will kick off with the road closure and traffic management being put in place with the actual mains rehab works starting on Monday, June 20th.
Speaking about the works, Uisce Éireann's Joe Carroll said;
"The works involve the replacement of over 2km of problematic water mains with new modern pipes. The programme to replace the water mains in Old Dublin Road, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford will commence in mid-June. These works are being carried out as part of Uisce Éireann's National Leakage Reduction Programme. The section of works will take place along the Old Dublin Road (L2008) between the Clavass Roundabout and Fran Cullen sales garage. The works will be carried by Wexford County Council in partnership with Uisce Éireann and are expected to be completed by mid October 2022."

We are investing a further €600 million up to the end of 2024 - fixing leaks and replacing pipes to provide a more reliable water supply.
