Crews carrying out repair works to restore normal water supply in Shronell, Co. Tipperary
Uisce Éireann is working with Tipperary County Council to restore water as quickly as possible to impacted customers following a burst to a water main in Shronell this morning.
Every effort is being made to restore the supply as quickly as possible to homes and businesses in Shronell, Galbally, Lattin, Cullen, Mountbruce, Rosebora, Barronstown, Deerpark, Ballinahow, Ballykisteen and surrounding areas.
Dedicated water service crews have been working since this morning and are expected to be completed by 7pm this evening. Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage.
Speaking about the repair works, Water Operations Lead with Uisce Éireann, Colin Cunningham said: "The repairs are being conducted as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimise disruption to the community and restore water for all customers."
