Crews mobilised to quickly restore water supply for customers in Gort
Dedicated water service crews have mobilised and repairs are expected to be completed by 11pm on 2 February
Uisce Éireann is working with Galway County Council to repair a mechanical fault at Gort Water Treatment Plant and restore water to customers in Gort Town and the surrounding areas as soon as possible.
Dedicated water service crews have mobilised and repairs are expected to be completed by 11pm tonight. Following the successful repair, it typically takes two to three hours after this to restore normal supply to all customers affected by an unplanned outage.
Rónan Daly, Uisce Éireann, said, "These essential repairs are due to a mechanical fault at Gort Water Treatment Plant and are being conducted as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to restore water for all customers. We understand the inconvenience unplanned outages can have on customers and we appreciate your patience as we work to return the water supply as quickly as possible."
