Crews to quickly restore normal water supply for customers in Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown
Uisce Éireann is working with Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council to investigate the source of water outages and restore water as quickly as possible to all impacted customers. Whilst every effort is being made to maintain supply to as many customers as possible, the outage and potentially low pressure is impacting the water supply to some customers in Killiney, Cabinteely, Shankill, Dun Laoghaire, and surrounding areas in South Dublin.
Dedicated water service crews have mobilised and investigations are underway to determine the cause of the outage and further updates will be issued as works progress. Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage.
Joe O'Reilly, Regional Asset Operations Lead at Uisce Éireann, commented: "The investigations are being conducted as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimise disruption to the area and restore water for all customers. We understand the inconvenience outages can have on customers and we appreciate your patience as we work to return normal water supply as quickly as possible."
Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
