Essential maintenance works underway on Loughrea Regional Water Supply Scheme
Uisce Éireann, in partnership with Galway County Council, is carrying out essential works on the Loughrea Regional Water Supply Scheme.
While these works are underway, customers in the following areas may experience a slight increase in the taste and smell of chlorine in their drinking water including: Craughwell and Loughrea.
Uisce Éireann would like to assure all customers supplied by Loughrea Regional Water Supply Scheme that the drinking water is safe to drink and the level of chlorine in your water is carefully monitored and controlled to ensure it is maintained at levels that are not harmful to health.
