Essential water connection works to take place in Kilcarberry, South Dublin

Uisce Éireann is working in partnership with South Dublin County Council to carry out essential new connection works to the water infrastructure at Kilcarberry Estate. To reduce the impact on customers, the works are scheduled to take place on Sunday, 12 June from 9am until 5pm.

To facilitate the safe delivery of the works, customers in Grange Castle, Grange Castle South, Profile Park and surrounding areas will experience a temporary disruption to supplies to include low pressure and/or water outages during the works.

Crews will make every effort to minimise the disruption to impacted customers and will work to complete these works as quickly and as safely as possible. It typically takes two to three hours following restoration time for the network to refill and normal water supply to fully return.

Speaking about the works, Tselo Tlou, Asset Operations Lead at Uisce Éireann said, "Uisce Éireann understands that this type of work can be inconvenient and working in partnership with our colleagues in South Dublin County Council, we will make every effort to minimise the disruption that these essential works may cause."

Tselo added: "Customers may experience some temporary water discolouration following the works and occasionally issues such as internal airlocks may arise. For advice on clearing discoloration and airlocks, visit www.water.ie/water-supply/supply-issues/following-an-outage.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
