Our crews have repaired a large and complex burst in Freemount and water has returned to customers.

The significant burst resulted with supply disruptions to Freemount, Dromina, Dromcolliher Churchtown, Liscarroll, Milford and surrounding areas.

Expert crews were on site, but it did take time to locate and repair the burst over the weekend.  Michael Bell, Operations Lead for Uisce Éireann said: “We understand the inconvenience that unplanned outages can have. Crews were mobilised to address this unplanned outage and we wish to thank customers in the area for their patience while the works were underway.”

As works were underway, static tankers were deployed and put in place at Liscarroll Church carpark, Dromina GAA club carpark and Milford graveyard carpark. These have now been removed as water has now returned to customers. Uisce Éireann is committed to keeping customers informed across multiple platforms 24/7 and we encourage customers to engage with us through our website, X channels @IWCare and @IrishWater, on Facebook and LinkedIn and through our customer care helpline which is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278.

Uisce Éireann has launched a free text service, providing real-time updates for local issues. Customers can sign up with their Eircode and mobile number on the Water Service Updates page.
