Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section
Water supply is returning to normal for Uisce Éireann customers to the west of Galway City following the successful completion of essential repairs to the pipe network today (Thursday).
Customers in the areas of Rahoon Road, Cedarwood, Highfield Park, Ard na Coille and Rivendell may have experienced some disruption to their water supply earlier today while specialist crews isolated and fixed a leak in the drinking water network. As of this afternoon, the leak has been found and repaired and pressure is returning to normal levels.
Shay Walsh of Uisce Éireann thanked customers and businesses for their understanding while these critical repair works were underway.
“The works went according to plan and the water is back to normal in the affected areas to the west of the city. We would like to thank everyone for their patience during these works.”
Customers on higher ground or at the end of the network may experience some discolouration to their supply or an intermittent supply for a number of hours. For more information, customers can visit the Discoloured water section of our website.
