Uisce Éireann urges Mayo customers to conserve water

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann is appealing to customers across County Mayo to conserve water and protect supply.

Following the cold spell, Uisce Éireann is working to find and fix leaks and maintain water supply for the thousands of customers across the county.

Burst pipes have resulted in reservoir levels depleting significantly which has in turn put pressure on water supplies.

Uisce Éireann’s Colette Scahill appealed to customers to conserve water in the coming days as crews fix leaks and reservoirs replenish.

Conserving water will help prevent additional strain on local supplies and ensure that customers are not affected by reduced water pressure or a disruption to their supply.

“We are asking people to remain vigilant over the coming days and report any leaks in the public network so that our crews can carry out repairs. The public can report leaks or bursts to our Customer Care Team on 1800 278 278."

Uisce Éireann is committed to keeping customers informed across multiple platforms 24/7 and we encourage customers to engage with us through our website, X channels @IWCare and @IrishWater, on Facebook and LinkedIn and through our customer care helpline which is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278.

Uisce Éireann has launched a free text service, providing real-time updates for local issues. Customers can sign up with their Eircode and mobile number here.
