Unplanned water supply interruption in Kanturk
Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.
Uisce Éireann working in partnership with Cork County Council wishes to advise consumers in the Kanturk and surrounding areas that an unplanned outage may result in low pressure or a loss of supply this afternoon/evening. The burst has been caused by excavation works that were being carried out by a third party, however Uisce Éireann crews have been mobilised and are working to repair the burst main as quickly as possible.
Areas affected include Barnacurra, Kiskeam/Ballydesmond, Boherbue, parts of Knocknagree, Dromagh, Lisrobin, Clash, Taur and surrounding areas, with a population of between 500 and 1,000 affected. The estimated restoration time is 10pm this evening, however premises at the extremities of the network or on higher ground may take longer to get fully restored.
