Water outage during essential Kilkelly works
Customers on the Kilkelly Water Scheme will experience a water outage tomorrow, Thursday 19 May due to essential works on the supply.
Uisce Éireann, in partnership with Mayo County Council, will carry out improvement works at Shammer Reservoir.
While crews are on site, residential and business customers in Kilkelly Town, Shammer, Cloonfallagh and Woodfield will experience an outage potentially from 9am to 6pm.
Speaking about the works, Ger Greally, Water Operation Lead for Uisce Éireann, said: "Uisce Éireann understands the inconvenience caused when main works occur and thanks customers for their patience while we complete these essential works to safeguard the water supply for homes and businesses in the Kilkelly area".
Typically, it takes two to three hours following the completion of works for normal supply to be fully restored to all areas.
The latest updates on these works will be available on the Supply and Service Updates section of our website. The Uisce Éireann customer care helpline is open 24/7 and customers can call us on 1800 278 278.
