Water is returning to Uisce Éireann customers in the vicinity of the Letteragh Road in Galway City this evening after the successful completion of today’s connection works.
Customers in Letteragh Road, Cúirt Chéirín, The Bailey, The Heath, Breacán and parts of Circular Road experienced a disruption to their supply while the planned works were ongoing.
The connection works commenced at 10am and were completed at approximately 4pm, and the network is now recharging. Some customers may continue to be affected by reduced pressure while the network recharges but supply should return to normal levels after two to three hours.
Leo O’Shea of Uisce Éireann thanked customers for their understanding while today’s works were in progress.
“These works were necessary to connect new homes in the area to the public water supply. Crews worked to complete the works as efficiently as possible and supply is now returning to normal levels in all affected areas,” said Leo.
“We wish to acknowledge the inconvenience caused to affected customers and thank them for their patience.”
Uisce Éireann is committed to keeping customers informed across multiple platforms 24/7 and we encourage customers to engage with us through our website, X channels @IWCare and @IrishWater, on Facebook and LinkedIn and through our customer care helpline which is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278.
