Uisce Éireann crews are continuing to carry out essential repair works in Templeogue, Dublin following a burst water main at Orwell Drive this morning.
Water supply has now been restored to almost all homes and businesses in the Templeogue area and water is returning to customers affected.
Crews worked throughout the day to repair the burst and the network is now recharging. All areas should be fully restored by midnight tonight.
Speaking about these works, Uisce Éireann’s Regional Operations Manager, Stephen Burke said “Uisce Éireann acknowledges the inconvenience caused by interruptions to water supply and we thank the affected customers for their patience and cooperation while we deliver these essential repair works.”
Typically, it takes two to three hours following repairs for normal supply to restore to all customers. However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network.
Uisce Éireann is committed to keeping customers informed across multiple platforms 24/7 and we encourage customers to engage with us through our website, X channels @IWCare and @IrishWater, on Facebook and LinkedIn and through our customer care helpline which is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278.
