Work on-going to quickly restore normal water supply for customers in Hollyford
Whilst every effort is being made to maintain supply customers may experience temporary, intermittent low pressure and/or water outages.
Uisce Éireann is working with Tipperary County Council to restore water as quickly as possible to impacted customers following a mechanical fault at the pumping station in Hollyford. Whilst every effort is being made to maintain supply customers may experience temporary, intermittent low pressure and/or water outages in Hollyford.
Dedicated water service crews have mobilised and repairs are underway and are expected to be completed by this evening. It typically it takes two to three hours following repairs for full supply to restore to all customers affected by a water supply outage as reservoir levels replenish.
An alternative water supply in the form of intermediate bulk container (IBC) will be in place at the local shop in the village from 10am this morning. The IBC may be offsite for short periods if refilling is required during the day. Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from the tankers and to boil and cool the water before consumption as a precautionary measure.
James O'Toole, Uisce Éireann, commented: "The repairs are being conducted as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimise disruption to the area and restore water for all customers. We understand the inconvenience an outage can have on customers, and we appreciate your patience as we work to return normal water supply as quickly as possible."
