Works taking place to restore water supply to customers in parts of Swords
Crews are working to repair a valve on the watermain in the Rathbeale Road area as quickly as possible
Uisce Éireann is working with Fingal County Council to carry out urgent works to restore water supply in parts of Swords. Crews are working to repair a valve on the watermain in the Rathbeale Road area as quickly and as safely as possible in line with Covid-19 protocols.
Homes and businesses in the following areas may be impacted by disruption to their supply while the repairs are underway; Rathbeale Road; Pinewood; Castleview Avenue, Drive, Court, Green; Ashton; Applewood and Applewood village; Broadmeadows; Longview; Meadowbank; Park Avenue; Bramley; Thornleigh; Glen Ellen Estate; Millers Glen and surrounding areas. The watermain repairs are expected to be completed by 3pm. Once the repairs are successfully completed, normal water supply will begin to be restored. Full water supply may take 1-2 hours to return as water refills the network.
Commenting on the repairs, Tselo Tlou, Uisce Éireann said, "Uisce Éireann understands the inconvenience when an interruption to supply occurs occurs and thanks customers for their patience while we work to carry out repairs and restore normal supply to impacted customers as quickly and as safely as possible."
