Works underway to maintain supply to customers in Boyle and surrounding areas

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section

Uisce Éireann is working to maintain water supply for customers on the Boyle/Ardcarne Regional Water Supply Scheme following operational issues at Rockingham Springs Water Treatment Plant overnight. This has resulted in reservoir levels depleting significantly.

While reservoir levels recover and pressure builds in the water network, some customers in Boyle, Ardcarne, Grangemore, Croghan, Cortober Village and surrounding areas, may experience low pressure or interruption to supply until 11am tomorrow morning, Monday, 13 January.

Uisce Éireann’s Ger Greally explained: “We regret any inconvenience as a result of this issue and thank the local community for their patience as we work to restore normal supply.

“We are appealing to all customers in the impacted areas to conserve water during this time, as the reservoirs replenish. This will help prevent additional strain on the local supply and ensure that normal water pressure and supply can be restored to all residents.”

Uisce Éireann is committed to keeping customers informed across multiple platforms 24/7 and we encourage customers to engage with us through our website, X channels @IWCare and @IrishWater, on Facebook and LinkedIn and through our customer care helpline which is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278.
